Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Kindred handles information in plain language.
Last updated: May 15, 2026
Local-first by design
Kindred is designed to work without an account. Your promises, tasks, journal entries, companion details, settings, and app preferences are stored locally on your device.
Information Kindred stores
Kindred may store the information you create inside the app, such as your promises, task details, promise windows, journal reflections, companion name, bond state, notification preferences, and other app settings.
No account required
Kindred does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide personal profile information to use the app.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, Kindred schedules local notifications on your device to support promise windows, reminders, and check-ins. Notification permissions and delivery are controlled by your device settings and iOS behavior.
Analytics and advertising
Kindred does not currently use third-party analytics. Kindred does not use third-party advertising, does not sell personal data, and does not use your app activity for ad targeting.
Purchases
Kindred is available as a one-time App Store purchase. Payments, refunds, and purchase issues are handled by Apple. Apple may process purchase-related information according to its own privacy policy and App Store terms.
Your control over your data
Because Kindred data is stored locally, deleting the app or resetting app data may permanently remove your promises, journal entries, companion details, settings, and preferences from that device.
Changes to this policy
This privacy policy may be updated as Kindred changes. If the app adds features that affect how information is handled, this policy will be updated to reflect those changes.
